Niku

I have tried out several steakhouses in San Francisco. There was one steakhouse that was a few cuts above the others. That steakhouse was Niku.

Niku is located in San Francisco's design district at 61 Division Street. It is a Michelin-star rated steakhouse.

When I went there I got an appetizer of oysters and a rib-eye steak. The rib-eye steak was out of this world. It tasted incredible. It was cooked and seasoned incredibly well. The steak was probably the best tasting steak I've ever had in my entire life. I am not exaggerating.

I'd avoid the oysters. They were ok, but I didn't find them particularly memorable. Next time I'd be inclined to try something else off the menu.

My method for judging a steak is whether or not I need to add sauce. For this steak, adding any kind of sauce would have been short-sighted and wholly unnecessary.

I got to sit in front of the chefs and watch them work as they went through their paces. My waiter was awesome. The ambiance was great. It was truly a top-notch experience.

It is a little expensive, but it is well worth it. Definitely go if you get the chance.
